Match Brazil v Ecuador International Freindly 10-09-2014

Brazil v Ecuador
Competition: International Freindly
Match date: 10 September 2014
Kick Off Time:  - 02.00  GMT

MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host the match between Brazil and Ecuador. Both sides emerged triumphant in their last international friendly and there is every chance we will see a lively contest in USA.
After the unsuccessful World Cup campaign, Brazilian football association had to make some changes. Carlos Dunga has replaced Felipe Scolari as the team’s new coach and that decision has already proved fruitful. The Selecao recorded a 1-0 win over very strong Colombia side on Dunga’s second debut and the South American giants will be looking to build on the win when they face Ecuador at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Brazilians need to keep on raising their form as they are preparing for 2015 Copa America, but there is no doubt that Carlos Dunga will test as many players as possible in upcoming warm-up games. Barcelona winger Neymar scored the only goal for the Selecao in the 1-0 win over Ecuador and he will be the man to watch in the home side on Wednesday morning. I am positive that Brazil will net at least one goal as Carlos Dunga has a number of high-profile players to choose from.
Thiago Silva and David Luiz both miss the match with injury, meaning that Miranda and Marquinhos are likely to start the match. Maicon has been excluded from the squad.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Jefferson – Danilo, Marquinhos, Miranda, Filipe Luis – Luiz Gustavo, Ramires – Oscar, Willian, Neymar - Tardelli.

Ecuador did not disappoint their fans at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, but they failed to reach the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament. La Tricolor are now fully focused on 2015 Copa America and they will surely give 100% to prepare as well as possible for the upcoming tournament. The Ecuadorians demolished Bolivia in their last international friendly and it has to be noted that they managed to score no less than four goals even without Manchester United star Antonio Valencia in the starting line-up (4-0). Coach Sixto Vizuete marked his return to the Ecuadorian national team with the impressive win and he is now on a bit more difficult task. La Tricolor face Brazil in yet another warm-up game, but seeing that they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach, there is every chance the Ecuadorians will find the net at MeltLife Stadium on Wednesday morning. Premier League striker Enner Valencia will lead the line for the visitors.

Antonio Valencia is still out of contention, but Sixto Vizuete has no fresh injury worries ahead of the Brazil game and he is likely to field the same starting line-up that faced Bolivia.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Banguera – Paredes, Canga, Erazo, Ayovi – Cazares, Noboa, Castillo, Ibarra – Martinez, Valencia

After the World Cup humiliation and the defeat against France in the midweek, Spain start their European Championship qualifications against Macedonia at home. Spain are big favorites on this match and also they are favorites for winning the Group C with Ukraine, Belarus, Macedonia, Slovakia and Luxembourg as their opponents. Like I mentioned, Spain lost against France a couple of days ago and also they failed to score a goal. Loic Remy scored the only goal for France in the second half. That means Spain have three defeats on the last four matches. Here is the result of the match:

04.09.2014. France - Spain 1:0 - Friendly
23.06.2014. Australia - Spain 0:3 - WC 2014
18.06.2014. Spain - Chile 0:2 - WC 2014
13.06.2014. Spain - Netherlands 1:5 - WC 2014

The coach Vincente del Bosque will be missing lot of players that we are used to see in the national team. Carles Puyol, Xavi, Xabi Alonso and David Villa have retired, Iniesta is injured and Gerard Pique asked to be excused from duty.

On the other side, Macedonia suffered disappointing 2012 European championship and 2014 World Cup qualification campaigns. The situation now is slightly better and the team has young and talented players who can play good football. Macedonia will be probably fighting for the fourth position in the group with Luxembourg as the weakest team in the group. They have played two friendly matches against China in June this year and they failed to score on both matches. Here are the results:

22.06.2014. China - Macedonia 0:0
18.06.2014. China - Macedonia 2:0
