Match West Ham v Liverpool Premiere League 20-09-2014

West Ham v Liverpool
Competition: Premiere League
Match date: 20 September 2014
Kick Off Time:  - 16:30  GMT

Having survived Bulgarian side Ludogorets in their Champions League opener, Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways in the national championship when they face West Ham United at Boleyn Ground.

The 2014/2015 campaign has been a mixed bag for West Ham United so far. The Hammers have recorded one win, one draw and two losses at the start of the season and there is no doubt that the team’s main goal is to secure yet another top flight survival. At the weekend Sam Allardyce’ side shared the spoils with Hull City and it has to be noted that newly-signed striker finally found his goal-scoring touch. The capital club face a difficult task on day 5 of the new Premier League campaign as they welcome Liverpool at their Boleyn Ground and it remains to be seen if they are capable of recording their first win of the season. It has been three years since Sam Allardyce’s side last defeated Liverpool in the Premier League match, but seeing that the Reds have been struggling to find their form of late, I am positive that the hosts are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s encounter.
Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll are the only absentees in the home side, meaning that Sam Allardyce is likely to field the same starting line-up that faced Hull City on Monday night.
.
Liverpool were on the verge of winning the Premier League trophy last season, but Manchester City eventually lifted the silverware. The Reds are on the same quest this term, but it is more than obvious that Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez will be sorely missed in the 2014/2015 campaign. Brendan Rodgers’ men have already suffered two losses at the start of the new season, with the team losing to the likes of Manchester City and Aston Villa. In midweek, though, Liverpool footballers gave their fans something to cheer about as they recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over Ludogorets on their return to the Champions League group stages. The Reds now face West Ham United on day 5 of the new Premier League campaign and seeing that the team’s key striker Daniel Sturridge remains in the infirmary, I am not tempted to put my money on the visitors this time out. A man to watch in the away side will be Italian striker Mario Balotelli, who scored the opener in the 2-1 victory over Ludogorets.
Daniel Sturridge, Jon Flanagan, Glen Johnson, Joe Allen and Emre Can all remain on the sidelines with injury, whereas Adam Lallana is fully fit to face West Ham United.

Probable starting line-up

West Ham(4-4-2): Adrian – Cresswell, Reid, Tomkins, Demel – Noble, Kouyate, Downing, Zarate – Valencia, Sakho
Liverpol (4-3-3): Mignolet – Manquillo, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno – Gerrard, Lallana, Henderson – Markovic, Balotelli, Sterling.

Match Bayern Munich - Manchester City Uefa Champions League 17-09-2014

Match time Bayern Munich v Man City is at 19:45 on 17 September 2014 for Uefa Champions League 2014-2015. Kick off time of match Bayern Munich v Man City is on London time.

Bayern Munich and Manchester City are in the same group in UEFA Champions league for the third time. Their last meeting was in December last year at Allianz Arena, when Manchester City surprised the Bavarians and won 3:2. Both teams managed to qualify for the knock-out stage. However, Manchester City were stopped by Barselona in the round of 16, while Bayern lost convincingly to Real Madrid in the semi-final. That was their heaviest home defeat in European competition. They are part of Group E this season, together with Roma and CSKA Moscow.

The German champions have five trophies from Champions League and the last one from 2013. Bayern have two victories after the opening three rounds in Bundesliga, so didn't start ideal as last season when were unbeatable almost the whole year. Here are the results:

13.09.2014. Bayern Munich - Stuttgart 2:0
30.08.2014. Schalke - Bayern Munich 1:1
22.08.2014. Bayern Munich - Wolfsburg 2:1

The coach Pep Guardiola has a lot of problems with injured players in front of this match. The defenders Holger Badstuber and Rafinha, as so the midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara will miss the match due to injuries. His major doubt is attacking duo Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. Robben missed the Sunday's training with a knee complaint, while match fitness could be an issue for Ribery. The Frenchman has recovered from a knee injury and marked his first appearance against Stuttgart on Saturday.

Manchester City started good and have obtained two wins in the opening two matches of Premier league. However, they suffered an unexpected defeat to Stoke City at home and shared the points with Arsenal in the next two rounds. Seven points from maximal twelve is not an ideal start as the fans were expected. Here are the results:

13.09.2014. Arsenal - Manchester City 2:2
30.08.2014. Manchester City - Stoke City 0:1
25.08.2014. Manchester City - Liverpool 3:1
17.08.2014. Newcastle Utd - Manchester City 0:2

The manager Manuel Pellegrini will not lead his team because of a ban for comments that he made after the match with Barcelona last season. The key defender Pablo Zabaleta received a red card on that match, so will miss this match due to suspension.

The last two mutual matches ended with away victories and goals scored on both sides. Here are the results:
10.12.2013. Bayern Munich - Manchester City 2:3
02.10.2013. Manchester City - Bayern Munich 1:3

Probable starting eleven:

Bayern Munich:

Neuer; Bernat, Boateng, Benatia, Alaba; Lahm, Alonso; Muller, Gotze, Ribery; Lewandowski

Manchester City:

Hart; Sagna, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Toure, Milner; Silva, Nasri; Aguero

Match Galatasaray – Anderlecht Uefa Champions League 16-09-2014

Match time Galatasaray – Anderlecht is at 19:45 on 16 September 2014 for Uefa Champions League 2014-2015. Kick off time of match Galatasaray – Anderlecht is on London time.

Galatasaray and Anderlecht meet in what is already a crucial game in this Champions League group D. With Dortmund and Arsenal as rivals, neither team can afford losing points if they are to challenge for the 2nd place and whoever loses will have a huge handicap in the fight for the 3rd place as well.

Galata made some big name signings again in the hope to win the title and do well in the Champions League. Drogba left but he has been replaced by Pandev, while Dzemaili will be a big factor in the midfield area. The Turks did not have a great start to the season, losing the SuperCup to rivals Fenerbahce at penalties and drawing 0-0 at home with Eskisehirspor over the weekend (after beating Bursaspor). However, Galata had the game with Anderlecht in mind in the weekend and they can also draw positives from the fact that they kept a clean sheet in all three games so far.

Anderlecht were the whipping boys last year in Champions league and will hope to do better this time around, but it will be tough for them. They don`t have the same quality as in the past, barely won the league last season (some would say undeserved) and are looking even weaker this year after selling some players. They have played pretty well this year in Belgium, winning the Supercup and being undefeated after 7 rounds, but they did draw 3 out of 7 matches (including the last two). Mitrovic and the new signing Steven Defour can create danger in attack against any side.

Match Juventus v Malmo FF Uefa Champions League 16-09-2014

Juventus v Malmo FF
Competition: Uefa Champions League
Match date: 16 September 2014
Kick Off Time:  - 19:45  GMT

Juventus are starting their uefa Champions League campaign against Malmo at home. The Old Lady have won the domestic Serie A three times in a row, but the results in the Europe weren't satisfying. Juventus are favorites for winning the group with Atletico Madrid, Malmo and Olympiakos Piraeus as their opponents. New head coach Massimiliano Allegri enjoyed a good start in the domestic Serie A with victories against Chievo away from home and Udinese at home. The defense of the team was spotless not allowing a single goal on those matches. Here are the results:

13.09.2014. Juventus - Udinese 2:0
30.08.2014. Chievo - Juventus 0:1

The coach Massimiliano Allegri has trouble with injured players ahead of this match. The likes of Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Giorgio Chiellini all missed the weekend's game and they will probably miss this match too. Andrea Barzagli was an unused substitute and he is still doubtful.
Malmo are the first Swedish representatives in the Champions League since the season 2000/01. They are probably having the toughest group with Juventus and Atletico Madrid almost certain of proceeding to the next round. The side are the leading team in Allsvenskan and they are very close for winning the title. In the qualification round of the Champions League, Malmo have beaten Ventspils, Sparta Prague and Salzburg. The most notable victory was against strong Austrians. Malmo were completely outplayed on the first match, they were losing 2:0, but managed to score after big mistake of Salzburg defenders. In the second leg Malmo won 3:0 and secured the progress. Markus Rosenberg was the hero on that match with two goals scored, while the third was scored by Magnus Eriksson. However, it remains the fact that Malmo played bad on their away matches, winning only against poor Ventspils. They have lost both other matches and both matches were high scoring. Here are the results:

19.08.2014. Salzburg - Malmo 2:1
29.07.2014. Sparta Prague - Malmo 4:2

Arsenal against Manchester City game of Premier League 2014-2015 will be played at Emirates Stadium, located in the city of London

Arsenal didn't start as it was expected, so already have four points less than first placed Chelsea and Swansea. They shared the points with Everton and that wasn't a bad result, but the draw with newcomers Leicester surely is. The Gunners currently sit on the 7th position. Even they won over Crystal Palace in the first round, their performances was not convincing and managed to win three points after Aaron Ramsey's late goal. Here are the results:

31.08.2014. Leicester - Arsenal 1:1
23.08.2014. Everton - Arsenal 2:2
16.08.2014. Arsenal - Crystal Palace 2:1

Danny Welbeck scored two goals for England national team against Switzerland, so Arsene Wenger will hope that he will continue with the efficiency on his debut match for the new club. The striker Olivier Giroud suffered from an ankle injury and will be sidelined during the first part of the season. The summer signing striker Alexis Sanchez scored on the last matches against Leicester. The key midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suffered an ankle injury while playing for Wales, so he is still a major doubt for the home side. The striker Theo Walcott is not ready yet, while the defender Kieran Gibbs is out injured.

Manchester City suffered a surprising home defeat to Stoke City in the last round, However, they played well in the first two rounds and have obtained two victories. The Citizens were impressive against Liverpool in the second round and completely outplayed them. The strikers Stevan Jovetic and Sergio Aguero scored by two goals so far. Here are the results:

30.08.2014. Manchester City - Stoke City 0:1
25.08.2014. Manchester City - Liverpool 3:1
17.08.2014. Newcastle - Manchester City 0:2

Stevan Jovetic is doubtful in front of this match as he has returned on the treatment table due to fitness issues. He didn't play 90 minutes against Stoke City. Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko are expected to play in front. The defender Bacary Sagna, who had 286 appearances for Arsenal, could play against his former club.

The last mutual match between Arsenal and Manchester City was a month ago when Arsenal won convincingly in the Super Cup. However, the Guners had no victory in the last season. Here are the last three results:

10.08.2014. Arsenal - Manchester City 3:0 - FA Community Shield
29.03.2014. Arsenal - Manchester City 1:1
14.12.2013. Manchester City - Arsenal 6:3

Match Lyon VS AS Monaco French Ligue 1 12-09-2014

Lyon VS AS Monaco
Competition: French Ligue 1
Match date: 12 September 2014
Kick Off Time:  - 18:30  GMT

Lyon are currently on the 17th position in the Ligue 1. They have only three points from the first four rounds and the fans are very disappointed after the bad start. However, the international break brought back several key players and the fans are now waiting for a strong performance to compensate for the absence of European football this season. The team will be meeting Monaco at home and the players will try to get their second win this season. After the victory in the first round, Lyon have lost the next three matches in a row. Here are the defeats:

31.08.2014. Metz - Lyon 2:1
24.08.2014. Lyon - Lens 0:1
16.08.2014. Toulouse - Lyon 2:1

The coach Hubert Fournier has four sidelined players ahead of this match - Henri Bedimo, Gueida Fofana, Clément Grenier and Yassine Benzia are injured. Also Bakary Kone, Clinton N'Jie, Mehdi Zeffane and Milan Bisevac are doubtful.

Probable line-up: Lopes, Dabo, Umtiti, Rose, Jallet, Mvuemba, Gonalons, Ferri, Malbranque, Yattara, Lacazette

Monaco also have a bad start to the new season. They have won only four points from the first four rounds and they find themselves on the 15th position in the league. The newest departure in the team is the striker Radamel Falcao who joined Manchester United. His departure is a big handicap. Monaco opened the season with two losses, but they have won four points on the last two matches. Here are the results:

30.08.2014. Monaco - Lille 1:1
24.08.2014. Nantes - Monaco 0:1

The coach Leonardo Jardim has only one player that is doubtful ahead of this match - defender Layvin Kurzawa.

Probable line-up: Subasic, Kurzawa, Carvalho, Raggi, Fabinho, Moutinho, Toulalan, Kondogbia, Ocampos, Berbatov, Ferreira-Carrasco

Monaco won both matches in the previous season. Here are the results:

Match Brazil v Ecuador International Freindly 10-09-2014

Brazil v Ecuador
Competition: International Freindly
Match date: 10 September 2014
Kick Off Time:  - 02.00  GMT

MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host the match between Brazil and Ecuador. Both sides emerged triumphant in their last international friendly and there is every chance we will see a lively contest in USA.
After the unsuccessful World Cup campaign, Brazilian football association had to make some changes. Carlos Dunga has replaced Felipe Scolari as the team’s new coach and that decision has already proved fruitful. The Selecao recorded a 1-0 win over very strong Colombia side on Dunga’s second debut and the South American giants will be looking to build on the win when they face Ecuador at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Brazilians need to keep on raising their form as they are preparing for 2015 Copa America, but there is no doubt that Carlos Dunga will test as many players as possible in upcoming warm-up games. Barcelona winger Neymar scored the only goal for the Selecao in the 1-0 win over Ecuador and he will be the man to watch in the home side on Wednesday morning. I am positive that Brazil will net at least one goal as Carlos Dunga has a number of high-profile players to choose from.
Thiago Silva and David Luiz both miss the match with injury, meaning that Miranda and Marquinhos are likely to start the match. Maicon has been excluded from the squad.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Jefferson – Danilo, Marquinhos, Miranda, Filipe Luis – Luiz Gustavo, Ramires – Oscar, Willian, Neymar - Tardelli.

Ecuador did not disappoint their fans at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, but they failed to reach the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament. La Tricolor are now fully focused on 2015 Copa America and they will surely give 100% to prepare as well as possible for the upcoming tournament. The Ecuadorians demolished Bolivia in their last international friendly and it has to be noted that they managed to score no less than four goals even without Manchester United star Antonio Valencia in the starting line-up (4-0). Coach Sixto Vizuete marked his return to the Ecuadorian national team with the impressive win and he is now on a bit more difficult task. La Tricolor face Brazil in yet another warm-up game, but seeing that they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach, there is every chance the Ecuadorians will find the net at MeltLife Stadium on Wednesday morning. Premier League striker Enner Valencia will lead the line for the visitors.

Antonio Valencia is still out of contention, but Sixto Vizuete has no fresh injury worries ahead of the Brazil game and he is likely to field the same starting line-up that faced Bolivia.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Banguera – Paredes, Canga, Erazo, Ayovi – Cazares, Noboa, Castillo, Ibarra – Martinez, Valencia

Match Spain v FYR Macedonia UEFA Euro Qualifying - 08-Sep-2014

Spain v FYR Macedonia

Competition: UEFA Euro Qualifying,
Match date: 8 September 2014
Kick Off Time: 19:45 BST - 18:45 GMT

After the World Cup humiliation and the defeat against France in the midweek, Spain start their European Championship qualifications against Macedonia at home. Spain are big favorites on this match and also they are favorites for winning the Group C with Ukraine, Belarus, Macedonia, Slovakia and Luxembourg as their opponents. Like I mentioned, Spain lost against France a couple of days ago and also they failed to score a goal. Loic Remy scored the only goal for France in the second half. That means Spain have three defeats on the last four matches. Here is the result of the match:

04.09.2014. France - Spain 1:0 - Friendly
23.06.2014. Australia - Spain 0:3 - WC 2014
18.06.2014. Spain - Chile 0:2 - WC 2014
13.06.2014. Spain - Netherlands 1:5 - WC 2014

The coach Vincente del Bosque will be missing lot of players that we are used to see in the national team. Carles Puyol, Xavi, Xabi Alonso and David Villa have retired, Iniesta is injured and Gerard Pique asked to be excused from duty.

On the other side, Macedonia suffered disappointing 2012 European championship and 2014 World Cup qualification campaigns. The situation now is slightly better and the team has young and talented players who can play good football. Macedonia will be probably fighting for the fourth position in the group with Luxembourg as the weakest team in the group. They have played two friendly matches against China in June this year and they failed to score on both matches. Here are the results:

22.06.2014. China - Macedonia 0:0
18.06.2014. China - Macedonia 2:0
